Machu Picchu

Finding a perfect vacation is not an easy thing for me to do. I do not enjoy the traditional vacation to a big city area. I want to go somewhere far away that I will only have a chance to visit once. A place with great scenery and breathtaking views works best for me. Machu Picchu, Peru is a destination that meets all my requirements in a perfect vacation spot. It is very hard to travel there because of restrictions the Peruvian government have levied against tourism. To make best of your time here are a few tips that anyone considering traveling to Machu Picchu should know:

1.) Make sure to have plenty of reading material handy. Buy pamphlets, guidebooks, and magazines having to do with where the best places in Machu Picchu are located. Remember also to buy the most recent material because they are updated frequently.

2.) The only way to purchase tickets to visit Machu Picchu is at the IPERU Booths in Peru's airports. They can be purchased online but it is a very unreliable way. Having a back up plan is a must, plan out other places to visit if you are unable to get ahold of tickets.

Traveling to Peru can be very expensive and only those who truly want to visit should consider going. Tickets  getting into Machu Picchu itself usually sell for $80.00 while an airline ticket getting to Peru will run you about  $1000. If you are interested in purchasing a package deal for airline tickets and a stay at a hotel you can expect to spend around $1400. For anyone who wants to visit Peru but is not interested in seeing Machu Picchu here are some other tourist attractions:

  • Arequipa City
  • Chiclayo
  • Iquitos
  • Lake Titicaca
  • Lima
  • Nazca
  • Paracas
  • Tambopata
  • Trujillo

Machu Picchu is a breathtaking place that any adventurous person should put on their bucket list. It is an almost magical place located against one of the beautiful backdrops in the world. There are many wonderful vacation spots but none can give you the same experience that Machu Picchu can. Take a chance and see something amazing by taking a trip to Peru.

Dream Vacation

Alaska the final frontier. The beautiful out doors man paradise where the sun shines and the fishing never stops. During the summer there are 23 hours of daylight a day, and the weather is beautiful and there is a countless array of wild flowers in full bloom. The amount of time you can take exploring all of the water ways and following streams to find some of the best fishing in the world, and the number one destination for salmon fishing. The Northern Lights are one of the most beautiful sights in the entire world. The First time I watched the movie Balto and saw the Northern Lights it has been on my list of things to see. The cost of the flight out of Bradley International air is about 743.00 dollars for a flight with no layovers.http://www.cheapoair.com/Default.aspx?tabid=1685&sid=1&oa=BDL&da=ANC&adt=1&chd=0&snr=0&infl=0&infs=0&dd=04-25-2013&rd=05-04-2013&tt=ROUNDTR
For a five night stay at the Hideaway Cove Wilderness Lodge it is 1,399 dollars for a five night stay, with fishing, hunting, kayaking, and taking a float plane to see some of the most beautiful views in all of Alaska, and the world. Alaska is one of the last places on Earth that is barely touched by the modern world, the water may be ice cold but the views on the top of a mountain. The sunrise is said to be one of wonder if witnessed on the open ocean, I made my dad a promise that one day he and I will spend two weeks, just him and myself will, and that is why one day this will be our dream vacation. People I have talked to that have been there in the summer say it is a place that should be on everyone's bucket list and right now it's on the top of mine.
I have read so many reviews and they all sell Alaska as the final frontier and most beautiful land in the entire United States. It's untouched and one of the last places that is. I can't wait to spend this trip with my father.http://www.frommers.com/destinations/alaska/A33648.html

Dream Destination

If i could go on vacation to anywhere, past or present, for a vacation I would choose the Woodstock Music and Art Fair, in Bethel, New York, in 1969. This would be my ultimate dream destination because I love the music from the 1960's. I would love the opportunity to see bands like Santana, The Who, the Grateful Dead, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Joe Cocker, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and especially, my favorite artist that performed at this festival, Jimi Hendrix.
Jimi Hendrix is one of my favorite artists of all time. His music is just all around great. His guitar play, his vocals and his lyrics all put together makes for amazing music. His performance at the Woodstock Festival is one of the most legendary performances of all time. So to be able to watch that performance live would be a dream come true for me. Especially to see and hear his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner would be a big time highlight of my life.
The dream to go to Woodstock is more than just about the music for me. Its about the environment, everyone at the Woodstock Festival seemed like a good person. Maybe it was because everyone was on a bunch of different drugs, but it seems like everyone would just be nice and laid back and it would be a fun place to be because of that.
Now, when it comes to the cost of getting there I can’t even begin to speculate about that. First I, or more likely some scientist, would have to invent time travel. I would imagine that would cost millions and millions, if not billions, of dollars to do this. I personally do not have that kind of money to make this happen, so I guess it’s just a waiting and hoping game. But say they do invent time travel sometime in my lifetime, it would cost around $10 in gas to get from my house to the festival. The ticket to the festival would cost $24 for all three days of music and festivities, which is an unbelievable deal. So if I were alive back then I would have only had to pay around $34 dollars total to go to this legendary festival.
So, if I could go anywhere, at any time in history, I would pick Woodstock Music and Art Fair in 1969. It would not only be an amazing musical experience, but the most incredible social gathering I’ve ever been a part of. And that is why I would love to be there.

Dream Vacation

My Dream Vacation

Many many times in my life, starting when I was 3, I have gone to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This is my absolute favorite place in the entire world.
Although I've gone here at least 25 times, I could never
get enough. This is my dream vacation spot. Some people think that going on a trip to Disney World is out of their price range, but there are plenty of times during the year when it is not to expensive to take a trip. My family and I usually go in January, since this is one of the least busiest and least expensive times. There are millions of things to do in Disney World and every time you go there is something new or different. To check out some things to do while at Disney World, click on the following link to their website: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/
If I were to go by myself (which would be no fun at
all) it would cost $104 a night, so if I stayed for five nights it would cost me $520, plus the cost of a plane ticket or gas (because I've never been in an airplane and I really don't ever want to be). I would also have to pay for a ticket, which for six days would be $300. The only other money that I would need would be for food and whatever souvenirs I would want to buy while on my trip. This is not an expensive vacation at all when you take into account all that there is to do at Walt Disney World. There are 4 theme parks that are packed full of rides and entertainment, two waterparks, and a huge shopping center called Downtown Disney which contains an interactive theme park where you can play tons of arcade games and even build and ride your own virtual roller coaster! While I was on my dream vacation to Disney World, I would try to do everything that I could! I would go on all the rides that I could and see all the shows and go to the waterparks and just have loads of fun because you cannot go to Disney World without having fun!!! Although people always tell me that I'm "too old" for Disney World, I will hopefully keep going until the day I die. This is my Dream Vacation.

Punta Cana

Imagine all the stress gone for a week or two.  No phone calls, no distractions or aggravations, nothing to do but just sit on the beach and massages. Nothing but relaxation and being pampered.  Being in Punta Cana is my number one dream vacation.  The island has gorgeous beaches; white sand, with crystal blue ocean water.  The scenery is exquisite with the turquoise sky, beautiful palm trees.  On my vacation I would definitely snorkel, take a dune buggy adventure around the island, zip line through the canopies of the forests, cave exploring, swim with dolphins, hang glide, lay out on the beach, and be pampered with facials and massages.

If I were ever to vacation here, I would make it a long two week vacation.  Hotel Eden Roc at Cap Cana is where I would definitely stay.  To stay in a suite with a king size bed, private infinite pool, and lounge bed on the patio would cost $1,126.40 for two weeks.  The resort has its own classy restaurants, La Cava, Mediterraneo Restaurant, Gastronomico Restaurant, Blue Lagoon Pool Bar, La Palapa.  It even has its own spa, Solaya Spa.  They use native healing philosophies, and contemporary technologies to soothe, nurture, and energize your body.  Flying out of Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts on a direct flight to Punta Cana International would take seven hours and eighteen minutes, costing $912.50.  It would definitely be a costly vacation, which I, or anyone else interested in this vacation, would have to save up for quite awhile but it would be worth it.
Walking on the beaches of Punta Cana would be absolutely amazing.  Having the sun shine beam down on your skin, the white sand between your toes, and the one you love or even your best friend by your side; what could get better than that?  I don't think anything.  Laying out everyday, with a drink in your hand, reading a book or listening to music could make you forget about all the negativity and stress back at home.  If I ever get the chance to take this vacation, even if it isn't for two long weeks, I would most definitely take the opportunity!

My Dream Vacation

My Dream Vacation. I always wanted to go to Venice .I think Venice is the most beautiful place in the world. It is fascinating to see a city surrounded by water, all the boats passing by the sides of a lot of buildings and restaurants. I always had a question: how deep is the water? and Are there any sharks? I always wanted to see a map of Venice. If I had a choice to live in a place for ever it would be Venice. Venice is the most romantic place with couples perfect for honey moons and a perfect dream vacation. I always had dreams of living in Venice and are the best dreams ever.

I always see a lot of movie's that the best scenes are filmed on Venice like James Bond, I liked that movie just because it took a large part of it in Venice. It is awesome just go outside and see a lot of buildings, stores, restaurants and houses surrounded by water. I am fascinating with living next to water and transport by bouts or any water vessels I think cars are boring.
I think Venice is the most beautiful exotic place before Puerto Rico. I can't wait to get married just for my honeymoon to be in Venice. I hope time passes fast for that day to come.
