Bad Boys 2

 

Detectives of the MPD Marcus Barnett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) came back in “Bad Boys 2” to take down a Cuban drug lord that sells ecstasy by the name of Johnny Tapia (Jordi Molla) after eight years of taking down another drug lord in the first film “Bad Boys.” There’s a twist to the sequel because Detective Barnett sister Syd (Gabrielle Union) is in Miami as an undercover agent for the DEA, but she doesn’t tell her brother. He thinks she’s only there for vacation; he does know that she works for the DEA. After a Haitian gang tries to steal the money transport between the Russians and Tapia, this puts Syd in danger because she and another agent are making the drop; the Russians are the distributors of the ecstasy for Cuban drug lord Tapia. Barnett and Lowrey stumbles onto the action, due to Lowrey’s informant (Ice Pick) informing him about what the Haitian’s are going to do. When Syd see’s what’s about to happen, her partner gets killed and she shoots one of the Haitians and goes on wild chase, with the Haitians tossing cars, MPD, and DEA following. This is how Marcus finds out that his sister is an undercover DEA agent. While Barnett and Lowrey asks Syd what’s going on, all she tells them is that it’s Johnny Tapia. They try to get more information, but she tells them she’s not authorized to exchange info with MPD. Marcus and Mike comes up with a plan to save Syd, which is to get to Johnny Tapia first, but Johnny kidnaps Syd and flees to Cuba once he finds out that Marcus and Mike are looking after her. The detectives, along with the SWAT team and Syd's DEA co-workers, prepare a plan to invade Tapia’s mansion and save Syd. With bomb mines going off and bullets flying everywhere, they rescue her. Tapia chases after them and they end up in a minefield outside U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, where Tapia holds Mike at gunpoint. Marcus rescues Mike by shooting Tapia in the head in the middle of the minefield with his last bullet. If you’re into guns, million dollar mansions being blown up, bullets flying everywhere, and cars being tossed on freeways like basketballs, then this movie is for you! This is an excellent action flick. Both Bad Boys 1 and 2 are recommended movies. Stay tuned for Bad Boys 3 coming in 2015.
